You can't use it for hot contents, in the freezer, or in the microwave. Most of the glass pieces can be safely washed in the residential dishwasher on the top shelf using a warm, gentle cycle with a mild detergent. But for large, highly decorated, or hand painted pieces, it's best to hand wash.
